Crypto Job & Investment-Style Job Scams

Crypto job scams often look like “rating” platforms, “liquidity tasks”, trading assistant roles, or “investment jobs” where you are asked to deposit money, move funds or use specific crypto wallets. The goal is usually to get you to send more and more money, which you cannot withdraw.

How this scam typically works
  • You see an advert or get a message about a “crypto job” or “investment task job”.
  • You are told you can earn commissions by completing tasks, trading, or moving funds.
  • You are asked to deposit your own money into a platform or wallet they control.
  • At first, you may see “profits” on the screen or receive small withdrawals.
  • Later, withdrawals are blocked and you are told to pay more for “tax”, “fees” or “unlocking”.
  • If you refuse, your account is frozen and the scammer disappears with your money.
Common red flags
  • Job requires you to invest or deposit your own money to “activate” tasks.
  • All communication happens on messaging apps with no official company email.
  • Pressure to act fast, keep the opportunity secret, or not tell your bank.
  • Promises of guaranteed returns or extremely high profit in a short time.
  • Platform has no clear company information, registration or independent reviews.
  • Support staff refuse video calls and avoid answering direct questions.

What you should do right now
  1. Stop sending money immediately and do not complete any more “tasks” or “top ups”.
  2. Take screenshots of your account balance, transactions, chat history and website links.
  3. Contact your bank or card provider as soon as possible and explain what happened.
  4. If you used a crypto exchange, contact their support, report the fraud and ask what can be done.
  5. Report the scam to your local police or fraud / cybercrime reporting channel.
  6. Do not let anyone you met through the scheme remote-control your device or access your wallet.
  7. Reach out to SafeHaven Solution for help understanding your options and next steps.

Why crypto job scams are particularly harmful

Crypto transfers can be hard to reverse and may move through many wallets very quickly. Once funds leave your bank or exchange, recovery becomes more difficult. At the same time, scammers may gain access to your device, accounts or ID documents, increasing the risk of further fraud or identity theft.

Quick tips
  • Be careful with anyone asking you to install unknown wallet apps or remote tools.
  • Never share seed phrases, private keys or full screenshots of your wallet backup.
  • Be suspicious of jobs that mix “employment” with “investment”.
  • If a platform blocks withdrawals and asks for more money, treat it as a serious warning sign.

If your crypto job or task platform has locked your funds, act quickly — the sooner you respond, the better your chances of limiting the damage.
